As many of you already know I am currently a senior in college and have around 9 classes left. Some people think I must graduate even if it takes me a couple more years to finish and others say I should drop out. And then there's Jeremy Schoemaker who told me to drop out of my current college and attend University of Nebraska, Shoemoney (UNSM); so I decided to take Jeremy up on his offer and attend his university for a few days. Here are some of the things that I have learned from Jeremy:

There are 3 categories for marketing: white, grey, and black. When you do marketing you never want to go into the black range because it could lead to jail time, but according to Shoemoney, there is nothing wrong with doing some grey stuff if it does not hurt anyone and has the potential to create a lot of buzz.
Companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft have certain rules that protect them, but these things can actually be used against them to help you make money.

Markus Frind is a Canadian entrepreneur who owns PlentyofFish.com, the world’s largest online dating website. According to reports in 2006, he earned around $10,000 a day through Adsense’s contextual advertising program.

According to a recent article [1], Plenty of Fish now receives 45 million visitors along with 1.1 billion pageviews every month.

His annual income from PlentyofFish.com alone is currently $5 to $10 million a year.

What is fascinating is that Markus Frind is a one-man show. He virtually ran Plenty of Fish by himself, along with help from his girlfriend and other voluntary moderators.

This is however, set to change as Markus has plans to gradually develop a team of 20 to 30 employees over the next few months.

Two weeks ago, we did a case study of Ashley Qualls, a 17 year old girl who makes $70K a month from her Myspace layouts website. The story was inspirational for many and I’ve thought of doing a similar piece on Markus Frind, who is currently the largest individual Adsense publisher/earner.

The amount of money he makes and how he went about creating this million dollar business has been the subject of much discussion in various webmaster forums. Some bloggers have done interviews with Markus or have written about his success.

Only a very small number of people can achieve a similar income level just from one website and what he has achieved is due to a combination of multiple factors such as technology, market entry/positioning and sheer personal effort.

While what worked for his website might not work for your niche and interests, hopefully this article on his success will help you in some way, to make more money from your existing sites or businesses.



17 Tips on Building a Lucrative Online Business or Website

Enter the Market at the Right Time. “As for the growth, a think a lot of that was accidental or first-mover advantage. Here in Canada LavaLife was the only real dating site, and they had a monopoly. I had a couple of my friends sign up from the major cities and after that the site just started to grow and spread.”



Free is a Powerful Business Model. “I always liked free sites and couldn’t see why companies had to change insane amounts of money for something that was trivial to make.”
“The community was really built by word of mouth. There was a need for a free site and because no one else was providing it, it just grew like a weed. A lot of people just don’t want to pay for dating sites.”




You Don’t Need a Team. “It’s just me right now, my girlfriend helps with some of the customer service stuff when I don’t want to do it. I am planning on expanding into other markets but I don’t think I need to hire any employees any time soon. Nearly all the work can be automated away except for user stupidity that leads to crazy questions.”



Offline Marketing is Not Essential. “Offline promo works well when marketing to huge existing customer base. It does not work well when trying to grow big…Like nearly every other site I sort of ignore offline marketing, as it is far too expensive when you don’t have huge numbers of people in your target market already using your service.”



Success Doesn’t Just Depend on One Thing. “I like simplicity, and I am not a graphic designer at all. Success doesn’t come down to just one thing. Its not like Microsoft can clone Google’s layout and be the largest search engine. Success is a combination of things and having the right idea at the right time.”



Uptime is Just as Important as Innovation. “I redesign my site every couple of weeks so it doesn’t get crushed by the sheer number of users online. As for front-end design I could care less, lots of users are using my site and more are coming every day, my number one focus is making sure the site stays up for another day.”



Create Unique Sites that Stand Out. “Google pays out $500 million a quarter to AdSense users. That money is going somewhere, and if you look at the top 1000 sites not a hell of a lot of them have AdSense.
Statistically speaking those sites that have low numbers of users and high EPC [Earnings Per Click] will make the most money. Build sites that no one else has done before, stuff only goes viral the first 1 or 2 times after that you have to buy your way into a market.”




You Need to Have a Rigorous Work Ethic. “When I came home from work I sat down and I forced myself to code for a hour or 2. The enemy was thinking, whenever I paused or started to think I would force myself to type something, its amazing how much you can get done when you just type.
For that business its just a matter of repetition and fighting boredom. At the end of the day you just need to sit down and DO it. Most people don’t.”




Site Value and Functions Trump Design. “Function over form to build an emotional connection with the user. Blend ads into content, No flashing crap, make the site useful. Basically all those things that everyone knows you are supposed to do, but very few people actually do.
There is no magic bullet, but you should always test new designs or new text etc to get the result that you want. You will never have the worst design and never the best, but through testing you can always improve.”




Think of Monetization Potential Before Starting a Site. “Build something useful, simple in ways that people will use. Explore things like Ad Sense, affiliate programs, and just explore ways of making money. Most 2.0 companies will never make a dime and they’re not built to make a dime.
So I would start looking at how to make money before you even design or think about starting a business.”




Don’t be Discouraged With Low Income. “I had a single affiliate program but it didn’t even make $40/month. I went and added Adsense pretty quick, I made a whole $5.63 cents my first month, but that was more then enough for me to realize that I wouldn’t go broke running the site and I could make a business out of this with enough traffic.”



Learn What You Need to Know. “Basically I spent every waking minute when I wasn’t at my day job reading, studying, and learning. I picked out “enemies” and did everything I could to defeat them which meant being bigger then them. I refused to accept defeat of any kind, and I constantly forced myself to test new things.”



When You Have Traffic, Look Beyond Adsense. “The main goal is to start replacing adsense/dating ads and hire sales people. I spent the last few weeks working long days optimizing my ad revenue and as a result adding over a million a year net per week of work.
At the end of the day its not possible for me optimize revenues myself or to outsource sales as no one vender could sell more than 3% of my inventory. I am at a size now were there are no off the shelf solutions and everything has to be built from the ground up.”




Know the Limits of Your Business Model. “If I wanted to generate $100 million in revenues per year it would be pretty easy, all I need to do is convert to a paid site. To generate 100 million a year as a free site is virtually impossible as the market isn’t big enough.
I’m already the largest player in the UK, Canada, and US. Growing the company another 10 to 20 fold just isn’t realistic.”




Always Have a Goal to Work Towards. “If you are working in a cubicle, your goal may be to experience the world outside of your cage, or stay at a 5 star whenever you want, or to go on vacation whenever you want.
For me i’d set my goal to owning the whole resort and the yacht out front and making 100 million a year instead of just millions.

Just because you are already successful doesn’t mean you don’t need a goal to work towards. Don’t assume that anyone successful thinks differently then you.”




Success Doesn’t Happen, It’s Created. “Now I know most of the people reading this are aspiring to create a business of some kind. Many will just day dream all day but never actually do anything.
I was like that a few years ago, then I finally sat down and did something, and kept forcing myself to do it till it became a pattern and it turned out hugely successful.”




Weigh Your Costs to Estimate Profitability. “In my opinion if the cost of your operations are 2-3 cents a unique visitor chances are plain advertising will bring you to profitability. If your costs are over 10 cents a unique visitor then you will need to sell a product or service.
This of course assumes a high traffic site with at least 100k uniques per day. In about 2 years from now we will probably see a 30-50% decrease in operational costs as hardware and software costs continue to fall.”

I might not agree with some of Markus’s opinions but I do think he has a great amount of experience on managing a profitable one-person business. These tips might be helpful if you are starting your own websites to generate some income.

(Google AdSense收入统计2007年)申请AdSense前站长们可能比较关心AdSense能带来多少收入的问题. 这篇文章单就AdSense收入多少的问题进行讨论. 关于Google怎样计算收, 收入是怎样支付及怎样提高AdSense广告收入等问题将在以后的文章再作说明.

AdSense收入概述
决定AdSense收入的因素很多--网站的主题, 网站的流量, 访客的地理位置, 访客是常客还是新来的, AdSense广告的大小, 放置位置和色彩搭配...因此网站和网站之间的收入差距很大.

AdSense收入的多少
通过AdSense相关论坛, 得到下列数据. 端木忧伤(网名,下同)说他的日均AdSense收入稳定在10美元左右; 张春的日收入有20多美元; 无奈无赖的日收入有几十美元; hello008的日收入超过100美元; sup99的日收入也超过了100美元; 卖神有好几网站, 这几个网站每月能给他带来5000美金的收入;车车的日收入近300美元; EC51声称其网站的AdSense广告月收入超过20万人民币(日收入超过800美元), 而网友steel6透露他/她也得知一家收入接近这个数目的网站, 而这个网站仅由两个人维护;.

国内很多出名的网站也放置了Google AdSense广告, 其中有人推算手机之家的广告月收入应该在6000美元左右,verycd在1万美元左右. 除此之外, 天空下载网, 天极网, 凤凰网, 中华网, 网易等也放了AdSense广告, 他们的收入无从得知, 但应该不会是个小数目.

AdSense收入的分布
值得注意的是, 每月AdSense收入高达上万美的站长只是众多站长中的少数佼佼者. 有为数不少的站长的日收入不足1美元, 日收入不足0.1美元的也大有人在. 由于Google为AdSense项目成员的收入保密, 我们无法得知站长们收入的确切分布情况. 但通过国内各论坛会员的贴子, 大概可以知道低收入(月收入低于200美元)的AdSense成员占了一半一上. 少数站长的月收入超过1万美元, 好些站长的月收入超过1000美元, 而更多的做的不错的站长的月收入在200至1000美元之间.

从WebmasterWorld论坛的帖子上看, 欧美等发达国家的绝对收入(单看AdSense收入数值, 不比生活消费水平)普遍比我国高不少, 虽然其中很多网站的流量按中国算法小的可怜. 这和这些国家的广告单价普遍高于中文广告有关.

AdSense收入趋势
从2003年AdSense项目启动以来, 论坛上虽然也有声称单价在增加的站长, 但论坛上能看到的更多的是抱怨广告单价下滑的贴子. 按照这些贴子的说法, 总体来说AdSense广告收入在流量等其它因素不变的情况下, 站长们的收入渐渐走低.
国内的AdSense由于大量网站开始申请加入,形成更激烈的竞争关系, 而广告主又把广告单价不断压低, 所以虽然加入AdWords的广告主不断增加, 依然有大量站长们报告AdSense新低价.
但不能排除多数站长只在AdSense收入降价时而心急发贴, 而收入增高时则不发贴, 从而形成论坛上报忧不报喜的局面.
即使AdSense收入真的减少了, 但它的单价就国内来说还是高过大多数其它广告联盟, 加之它的服务信誉好等其它特点, AdSense还是众多站长的不二之选.

心态
AdSense可以创造百万富翁, 但这个须要智慧, 技术, 耐心...甚至运气. 很多站长不同意将AdSense看成站长赚钱的最终或唯一方式. 大家还以AdSense收入不稳定为原因, 而不同意个别站长计划辞职专职做个人网站, 靠AdSense的收入维持生活的想法. 但不容置疑的是, 如果你已经有一个Blog或个人网站, 为什么不无心插柳式地试着在上面加入AdSense广告呢?

In a now-famous posting on WebmasterWorld, a guy usernamed Markus007 outlines what he believes to be the secrets to his wildly successful web site, which went from $40 a month to a million in three months.

We now know that Markus007 is Markus Frind, and the site is PlentyofFish.com, a free dating website.

Andrew Johnson at WebPublishingBlog has two terrific posts about Markus and PlentyofFish.com, including an interview that is a must read. Here’s my favorite conclusion from the first post:

As humans one of our biggest weaknesses is becoming obsessed with what is not important. We spend 90% of our time on that little 5% — and that is why so many of us fail. PlentyofFish is an example of what happens when someone understands that its not the fancy design that brings in visitors, its something else. He understands that search engine traffic is important, but its even more important to have visitors that come back to your site again and again. [Emphasis added by me]

In the interview, Andrew asks him what he believes to be the key to his success:

Do you actually want to monetize your blog?

Some people have strong personal feelings with respect to making money from their blogs. If you think commercializing your blog is evil, immoral, unethical, uncool, lame, greedy, obnoxious, or anything along those lines, then don’t commercialize it.

If you have mixed feelings about monetizing your blog, then sort out those feelings first. If you think monetizing your site is wonderful, fine. If you think it’s evil, fine. But make up your mind before you seriously consider starting down this path. If you want to succeed, you must be congruent. Generating income from your blog is challenging enough — you don’t want to be dealing with self-sabotage at the same time. It should feel genuinely good to earn income from your blog — you should be driven by a healthy ambition to succeed. If your blog provides genuine value, you fully deserve to earn income from it. Either be full-assed or no-assed.

You can reasonably expect that when you begin commercializing a free site, some people will complain, depending on how you do it. I launched this site in October 2004, and I began putting Google Adsense ads on the site in February 2005. There were some complaints, but I expected that — it was really no big deal. Less than 1 in 5,000 visitors actually sent me negative feedback. Most people who sent feedback were surprisingly supportive. Most of the complaints died off within a few weeks, and the site began generating income almost immediately, although it was pretty low — a whopping $53 the first month. If you’d like to see some month-by-month specifics, I posted my Adsense revenue figures earlier this year. Adsense is still my single best source of revenue for this site, although it’s certainly not my only source. More on that later…

卖产品分两种: 第一种是卖自己的产品,第二种是卖别人的产品拿提成。

卖自己的产品显然对广大博友是不现实的,所以我们大家可以来选择第二种。

你肯定会看电影吧,你也会看书吧,肯定也会用一些日用品等等。
如果你自己用的好,可以写一些使用感受和推荐。
然后在博客上加上该产品的销售链接,然后带来销售后,
你就可以获得提成。

Google AdSense是网站收入的主要来源之一,
这里介绍一些常用的技巧,希望通过这些技巧能够增加大家的Google AdSense收入,
并防止自己的帐号被删除。

  广告点击追踪软件

  这个我个人认为是最重要的,安装一个广告点击追踪软件,用来跟踪哪些用户从哪个IP地址点击了哪个广告,为将来的数据分析提供了很好的结果。同时对于恶意点击的IP也可以进行追查,以便及时向Google报告。

  广告点击追踪软件目前有很多程序,搜索一下会有很多,我建议大家使用一些功能较全的软件,至少应该能够分析以下数据:用户IP、点击广告的网址、广告的地址、点击时间等,这样才能为后面的一些分析提供基础。

  广告的位置、配色和个数

  一页中可以放置多个Adsense广告,以增加广告的曝光率。当然也不要放太多,最多应该放置3个内容广告块和1个链接广告块,广告应该放在页面的上部,那样会获得较高的点击率。广告的底色和文字颜色要和页面的整体颜色相搭配,这样可以增加用户的浏览体验,还可以提高点击率。

  恶意点击或无效点击

  通过对于点击广告的追踪,我们可以追踪到一些恶意点击,比如某个IP连续对于广告的点击,这时候,应该将相关的数据统计及时向Google Adsense报告,以免帐号被误封。

  禁用低价值广告

  有时候我们会发现点击的数目突然增加很多,但是最后产生的价值却反而减少,这说明广告中有一些低价值广告,这时我们根据点击广告所追踪到的数据,找到点击量最大的一个网站地址,然后在Google Adsense设置中的“竞争性广告过滤器”里,将这个网站加入黑名单即可,这样网站上就不会显示这个低价值的广告了。当然,这个方法可能有时候会发生错误,如果发现有问题也可以将过滤网站删除。

  禁用有误导性的广告

  有时候某些访问量大的页面产生的广告,有时候广告文字会带有一定误导性,这时往往会导致用户点击该广告的几率大增,使得点击率往往非常高,这不是一件好事情,因为过高的点击率往往会让Google误以为是无效点击,我们最好要控制点击率在1%以下。因此找到这个点击率最大的广告,将其网址加入“竞争性广告过滤器”里,这样点击率会慢慢恢复到正常水准。

  防止帐户被停用

  这是一条硬性规定,必须遵守Google制定的规则,不要问为什么,也不要试图挑战这些规则,不要耍小聪明进行作弊,你的技术水准永远比不上Google,只有这样才能保证帐号不被停用。

  规则大致包括:不要点击自己的 Google 广告,不要鼓励别人点击 Google 广告,不要采用弹出式提示或自动软件安装,不要将 Google 广告放在任何含有被禁止内容的网站上,不要篡改 AdSense 代码,等等等等。

  如果发现网站广告点击有异常情况,应该及时通知Google相关人员。万一被Google Adsense除名了,也不要不知所措,将自己的相关统计数据提交给Google,告诉他你是无辜的。

In this post Evan Carmichael shares a few lessons that bloggers can learn from Sony.

Since Darren is a fan of digital photography and the Sony Cybershot DSC-H5 made his top 10 list of point and shoot digital cameras, I thought it would be fun and valuable to see what lessons bloggers could take from one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs: Sony’s Akio Morita.

1) Believe in yourself. Akio Morita’s family had been in the sake brewing business for 15 generations and he was expected to continue the tradition. Instead, he decided to go out on his own and build what would become of the world’s most recognizable brands. Don’t let people hold you back with their expectations of what you should be. Believe in yourself and create your own Sony.

2) Start small. Great businesses and blogs are built one step at a time. Morita started Sony with only $350 and worked in a bombed out building that had been abandoned after the Second World War. Keep building your blog momentum every day. Even though you may be facing terrible odds and are running out of money, find a way to continue and don’t abandon your dream.

3) Pick a good name. Morita originally called his company the Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha (Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation). He later realized that to reach the American market he would need a better name. Sony was a combination of sonus – the Latin word for ’sound’ - and Sonny - a mainstream American nickname. Does your blog have a name and domain that will help you gain recognition and credibility or are you being passed over?

4) Trust your gut. Morita did not believe in doing market research. His advice was to “Carefully watch how people live, get an intuitive sense as to what they might want and then go with it. Don’t do market research.” As an example, his team wanted to change the name of the Sony Walkman to Soundabout but Morita refused. He trusted his gut that Walkman was a better name. Today the word “Walkman” is in almost every major dictionary. Part of being a successful blogger is trusting your gut and going with what you think will work despite what the data and “experts” are telling you.

5) Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. According to Morita, “Don’t be afraid to make a mistake. But make sure you don’t make the same mistake twice.” When you are blogging you are going to make mistakes. It is part of being a risk taking and developing new frontiers. If you are afraid of making, you will miss countless opportunities before you. The more mistakes you make the wiser you will become and the more successful you will be.

6) Build a quality product. Morita once commented that “Advertising and promotion alone will not sustain a bad product or a product that is not right for the times.”Darren has blogged at length about the importance of having quality content if you want to stand out as a successful blogger. Quite simply, if you aren’t writing material that is new, different, and offers an interesting perspective, you won’t get readers, sponsors, or links to your blog.

7) Be different. When Morita opened the first Sony store in America he hung a huge Japanese flag above the entrance. World War II had just ended so it got people talking. Journalists and hundreds of consumers came to see what the story was behind the flag. Is your blog different and standing out or are you using the same tactics as every other blogger? Can you answer the statement: My blog is different and unique because _____________ ?

8 ) Create the market. Morita knew that his success would come where there was no established competition. He created products for markets that did not yet exist and as a result received tremendous recognition. For example, in 1972, Morita was awarded the fist ever Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for a product - the Trinitron. Is your market filled with too many bloggers already? Can you create a new market and dominate it? Become the expert for your niche and get known as the leading figure in your field.

Akio Morita had no money, no experience, no external support when he started his business. He worked out of a bombed out building and the only asset he had was the passion to build his company. His passion and perseverance paid off and in 1998, a Harris survey revealed that Sony was ranked the number one brand name by American consumers, ahead of Coca-Cola and General Electric.

By following the 8 lessons from Sony (and by continuing to read ProBlogger!) you can also take your blog from a startup idea into a successful, internationally recognized, award-winning enterprise.

所谓“病毒式营销”,是通过用户的口碑宣传网络,信息像病毒一样传播和扩散,利用快速复制的方式传向数以千计、数以百万计的受众。也就是说,通过提供有价值的产品或服务,“让大家告诉大家”,通过别人为你宣传,实现“营销杠杆”的作用。病毒式营销病已经成为网络营销最为独特的手段,被越来越多的商家和网站成功利用。

网页广告一直是网站关键的赢利点。然而,网民心态的成熟以及网页技术的发展使广告的效果越来越边缘化,弹出式广告可以阻截,页面广告可以覆盖,邮件广告则直接被送进垃圾箱。用户似乎对广告的免疫力越来越强,不再相信厂商对自己的吹捧,转而向已经亲身体验过这一产品或服务的朋友寻求意见。

“病毒营销”应运而生,用户成为免费的推销员,主动向亲朋好友热情传播产品或服务,口耳相传如病毒感染式的广泛蔓延。实际上,口传作为一种营销手段并不新鲜,但在互联网动辄上百万的文章、图片中,靠数十个网站编辑去挑选精品显然是无法实现的任务,更何况用户并不信任网站编辑的眼光。口传则提供了一种自动挑选的机制,由用户自己去点击、评论、推荐,让用户眼里的好东西“自己站出来”。

MSN和Skype是强势的病毒营销,采取让用户“拉”用户的策略,无需网站自身的推广工作,而是由现有用户通过电子邮件的方式,将网站或服务告诉他们的朋友,让朋友也来注册使用,从而使他们能够在网上交流和通话。eBay评分系统则是相对弱势的病毒营销手段,它使用户可以对他人做出评价,间接协助推广。同样,一些提供餐饮信息的网站里,网友可以对成百上千家餐馆进行评论,可信度远远超过餐馆自己或者“托”的美言。

Google Gmail则利用了饥饿营销与病毒营销的双重功效,并不接受公开注册,而是需要现有用户的邀请才能注册。稀缺使人们产生好奇,邀请则使病毒营销发挥到极点。同时,“邀请”的机制使有共同兴趣爱好的用户聚成一个“圈子”,在这个圈子里用户能互相交流信息,为其他产品或服务的推广埋下伏笔。

情境细分

但网络广告不会就此离开互联网。即便口传能使顾客成几何级数增长,但病毒最先感染的用户基础还需要网站自身去经营。或许网络广告的作用就在于变成“感染”位于网络节点的那几个“大喇叭”用户。

以Google Adsense为代表,网络广告随技术的进步寻找更有针对性、更容易为顾客接受,也更经济有效的方式——不仅是从包月展示到按点击付费,甚至如“好耶网”允许按所带来的收入计算广告费,而且按照顾客所处的“情境”展示广告。

情境,或者说是用户访问网站时的目的、心态和时间限制,展现了其正在关注的兴趣点和对某一类广告的接受程度。网站观测用户在当时打开的页面内容、对哪些页面内容的关注程度以及以往的点击流,确定用户所处的情境,展现最容易为用户接受的页面,投放相关的广告。

传统营销思想的细分市场通常按照人口统计特征和心理特征划分,按照年龄、职业、收入水平、对生活的态度等维度对顾客进行归类。比如肯德基和麦当劳这样的快餐店通常将自己的目标顾客定义为追求时尚的青年人,高级西餐厅相对更加注重成熟的商务人士。

但是,情境因素似乎对顾客的选择有着更加深远的影响。情境将同一个顾客的不同时间归入不同的细分市场。同样一个青年白领,可能经常在食堂解决午饭,加班时匆忙吃一碗牛肉面或一份薯条汉堡,周末则和几个同事去火锅店大吃一顿,或许还一起去西餐厅庆祝朋友的生日。

即使是在相同细分市场的顾客中,情境因素也对营销效果有着决定性的作用。匆忙跑入地铁站的人是不会去注意地铁票背面广告的,在站台转悠着的乘客却会长时间注视墙上的大幅招贴画,以打发无聊的等车时间。

尤其是在网络上,用户的人口统计特征和心理特征已经淡化。即使同样一群大学生用户同时访问某个音乐网站,他们的访问时间长短和访问目的可能不同,根据人口统计特征和心理特征判断消费行为将极为艰难。

网络用户的情境按目的、心态和时间从短到长可以分为七种:匆忙、查看事实、单一任务、重复访问、闲逛、信息搜寻、冲浪。对于一个音乐网站来说,有的用户就是想寻找某一首歌的免费下载链接,可称作“单一任务”,如果网站不提供这种服务,他可能会立即离开:“信息搜寻”的用户希望阅读某位歌手的最新八卦新闻,他们就可能会对该歌手的新歌广告感兴趣;另外一些“闲逛”或“冲浪”的用户可能碰巧到了这个网站上,此时他们的态度最为开放,或许可以接受收费下载音乐、订阅娱乐新闻、下载手机铃声等各种服务的广告。

如果让一家餐厅同时提供面条、盖浇饭和西餐,老板可能会颇感为难,但对于网站来说,如此灵活、反应迅速的服务却是十分重要。一个成功的网站应该向不同用户展示不同的一面,如果用户的任务非常明确,就是去买一本书或下载一首歌,就要让用户体验快速、简单、自助的购物,仅有文字链接,没有弹出广告或不停闪烁的动画广告;对于在网上闲逛和搜寻信息的用户,则可以根据他们的关注内容,提供视频广告、弹出广告以及购物服务。尤其“闲逛”的用户或许会在每个页面都停留很长时间,因此也更有可能接受更多信息,产生对产品或服务的渴望。
